July 2, 2011- COME STAND FOR WATER!

This was Garyn's inspiration.

He watched this short video and immediately asked "how can I help."

He decided instead of a Lemonade Stand, He would "Stand for Water."
He wants to send all of his profits to Africa.

Garyn will be selling simple cups of WATER
this Saturday, July 2, 2011 at the Noblesville Farmer's Market.

All of the profits will be going to the NuAfrica Charity.
Please support Garyn this Saturday between the hours of 8am- 12:30pm.
He would LOVE to see familiar faces!

If you are interested in learning about NuAfrica, please visit nuafrica.org

And, if you can not make it and still want to send Garyn donations, please send them through the NuAfrica website.  In the comment section, please note that it was for Garyn's Stand for Water.

I love these girls!

There is nothing better than spending time with friends.
And these girls are so sweet to my soul!
I love you ALL!

(** Don't ask...and yes we are old and mothers....but still know how to have a good girl time**)

"Sometimes people are related by blood,
sometimes they're related by marriage,
and sometimes they're related by friendship...
...because often,
it's friends who can relate the best!
No wonder I feel like we're ALL family!"

Freedom Festival Fun

Some good fun with great friends!

The boys and Caroline checking out the fire trucks!

Watching a puppet show

Good 'Ole fashion Dunk tank.  Garyn got him on his second try!

Gigi...well, her arm was a little to delicate, so she got to push the button instead!

Don't really know who had more fun and the water balloon sling shots???  Garyn or Daddy!

Great weather, great food, great fun, and great company!!
Thanks Mosher's for sharing a fun day with us!

CARS 2

JUNE 24, 2011

CARS 2 MOVIE PREMIERE

In case you do not know, my son is a Cars movie, Cars collector, Cars fanatic!
Yep, he is the kid for the past 3 years has had Cars (cars with eyes, as he describes them) on his birthday cakes...
He talks about Cars daily, plays with them constantly, looks to see how many diecast Cars he can put on his wishlist from ebay (which has actually been a good thing, it has taught him how to use a computer perfectly.  See you can find educational plugs everywhere, right?), and absolutely LOVES to watch the movie.

And...To be honest, I love it too!  I love the movie!

I wanted to make the premiere movie day of Cars 2 extra special for my biggest Cars fan.
(we do not celebrate birthday's with big parties.  we like to celebrate these most special days as a family)

So, the Cars 2 movie premiere party was like a birthday party for Garyn except the only 'presence' at this party were his friends.

 It was awesome!
Garyn picked a few close friends to come over for the viewing of Cars 1, some playing with Cars, pizza and of course a Lighting McQueen pinata.

After the pre-party, we all traveled to the theater to watch the premiere of Cars 2.
And of course, Pixar did not disappoint.

Cars 2 was fantastic!
(you can tell it is following the age group of the original viewers.  it was exciting but left the kids asking lots of questions.  it was like watching mission impossible only in the Cars world.)

All that is left to say now is....
MOVE OVER MCQUEEN, MCMISSILE IS IN THE HOUSE!

OUR PARTY SNAPSHOTS!

one descriptive word for the entire day/night

SUCCESS!

Fingerprint time!

so our Dossier has been complete for over a month, proof read, copied, sitting and waiting to be sent.
the missing piece?
our biometric appointment from homeland security.
well...
i am so happy to say,
we had our fingers printed on THURSDAY!!!

it was an interesting and quick process.

security checked us us (not friendly)
we waited, filled out papers (instructed to do so by a lady who was not friendly)
were called after a short wait
ryan and i both walked back together
fingerprinted by separate women (who were not friendly, well at least ryan's woman said hello)
our fingers were printed on a machine (no ink in this process people....)
our fingerprints are now in cyberspace for the FBI to review.

now.... more waiting

can not wait to put the last approval letter in the packet so it can FINALLY FINALLY be sent!

i am starting to get impatient.

i want my ethiopian babe!

ps- for all who read and do not already know, (i will write ALOT more about this topic later) but...
ryan and i have decided to consider adopting a child/baby that is significantly malnourished.  please continue to pray for our family and for our little habesha (and just for clarification....we have not be given a referral yet, still waiting.)

good day everyone!

What a feeling...

The most amazing feeling is......

being together again under the same roof!

For all You have given,
Thank You God.

For all You have withheld,
Thank You God.

For all You have withdrawn,
Thank You God.

For all You have permitted,
Thank You God.

For all You have prevented,
Thank You God.

For all You have forgiven me,
Thank You God.

For all You have prepared for me,
Thank You God.

For the death You have chosen for me,
Thank you God.

For the place you are keeping for me in heaven,
Thank You God.

For having created me to love You for eternity,
Thank You God.

THANK YOU LORD JESUS FOR BRINGING US ALL BACK TOGETHER SAFELY!
WE ARE FOREVER MERCIFUL OF YOUR LOVE!

my kids

so if you were to ask me to describe my kids...

-Garyn-

He can be dominant and determined like a lion, but this boy is so caring and has the most tender heart I have ever known....

-Gianna-

Gianna reminds me of Olivia from the Cosby Show.
She is sweet, beautiful and she always tends to win people over with her quick wit!

Injera and Chocolate Gravy: You say potato...

This is an important example that I think all of my friends and family should be aware of....

Thanks Chrissy....I love reading your words!

a good break...

i was in need of a break.
my patience were running thin,
it was starting to feel more like work than fun,
then...
a few hours with a dear old friend,
and I am recharged!

Thanks Corrine!  It was great being with you...

A Fun Day at the Park...

Storybook forest,
Jumping Jungle,
the rides,
Mister Rogers Neighborhood,
good eats,
and
games....

Exactly how I remembered it
and
shared all of the fun with my kiddos!!!

What a great day even though it was delightfully COLD...

Gigi's first BIG girl ride...the scrambler!  She loved it and we rode it 2 times!!
This is also one of Garyn's favorites too!!

Bumper cars...Garyn was a pro!  Gigi spun in circles A LOT!

Because they are so easy to love...

Mister Roger's Neighborhood!
Henrietta Meow Meow and X the Owl
 Lady Elaine Fairchild

 Daniel the striped tiger

The Caterpillar...just as much fun as I remember and they both LOVED it!

Welcome to Storybook Forest

And then my camera died.....BOO!
