LAST STRIPE EARNED
CONGRATULATIONS
GARYN SANFORD!!!
YOU HAVE EARNED YOUR BLACK STRIPE!
WE ARE ALL SO VERY PROUD OF YOU!
in just 7 short months, Garyn has earned 20 tips and 5 stripes.
He loves TKD
Master Yoo, Master Sueng, and Master Kim are amazing instructors!
Garyn loves to go,
We love to watch him,
and
He is always SO very proud of himself, as are we, when he earns a new tip or belt.
His belt, placed and ready to be given...
Master Yoo awarding Garyn his new belt.
One proud TKD fighter!
Next up....
Belt testing.
Garyn will need to earn 4 tips plus a black tip.
Once earned, he will need to attend belt testing.
He will be tested on ALL of the material taught to him over the past 7-8 months.
When completed,
He will earn his yellow belt!
WOW!!!
Picky Eater
If any of you know Garyn, you will know that he is a very picky eater.
He is very sensitive to food textures and smells.
As a result, his menu is very limited!
Ryan and I have never pushed him too much for trying new things.
We look at the issue like this....
When he is ready, he will try.
And then,
It started... with a soft pretzel from Target.
Gigi wanted a soft pretzel instead of the usually popcorn treat. I agreed and, much to my surprise, Garyn said he wanted to share it with Gigi.
He was hesitant, he held it for a while, asked me a few questions about what it will taste like, what he would do if he didn't like the taste,
and then.....
He took a bit and LOVE it.
So there....now we can add a salted, soft pretzel to our menu.
Then....
last week
8-24-2011
We were eating dinner as a family.
The dinner menu was Ribeye Steak, baked potatoes, and corn.
Even though Garyn is sensitive to food smells, he LOVES the way a steak cooking on the grill smells. Yet, he never could muster up the courage to try a bite of steak.
Until....
We were all sitting at the table, Ryan and I were in conversation when all of a sudden, Garyn asks if he could try a bite of Ryan's steak.
8 bites later...
he called everyone to tell them he ate some Ribeye...
So, of course we had to capture the moment so everyone would believe us....
Look at me!!!!!! I added something new to my menu!
This week he asked to try spaghetti....and well, the jury is still out on noodles.
WAY TO GO GARYN!
And then there is this one...
She eats EVERYTHING, ALL DAY LONG.
But she was feeling left out, so here is Gigi eating broccoli!

Inside and Out
Getting ready for school...
Of course the first day of school always seems to approach too quickly.
So in preparation, Miss Jen cut the kiddos hair!
I must say, biased or not
Garyn and Gigi are beautiful!
INSIDE AND OUT!
Unmistakably BEAUTIFUL!
Look at those precious feet!
While Garyn was having his hair cut, Gigi was given a mini-pedi by me, of course!! She had so much fun. She sat in the Big Girl Chair and I painted each toe a different color of her choice!!
Now, we are ALL ready for school!!
